Panasonic Toughpad UT-MA6 VGA / HDMI / DisplayPort Output
Hooking up to an external monitor is easy with a Panasonic Toughpad UT-MA6. The Toughpad UT-MA6 includes both an HDMI output and DisplayPort. Let’s take a look at the differences:
HDMI
High Definition Multimedia Interface, also known as HDMI, is a proprietary connector capable of transmitting uncompressed high-quality video and compressed or uncompressed high quality audio between two HDMI-compliant devices. There are five different sizes of HDMI connectors with the most common connector, also referred to as Type A, being the one used on all Panasonic Toughpad UT-MA6 models. The optional desktop cradle also includes an HDMI port and a 19-pin HDMI port.
DISPLAYPORT
The standard resolution for a Panasonic Toughpad UT-MA6 is 3840 x 2560 pixels. The maximum resolution for an external monitor utilizing the HDMI connector is 1920 x 1200 pixels while the maximum resolution utilizing the DisplayPort is 3840 x 2160. When utilizing the HDMI connector on the desktop cradle the maximum resolution is 1920 x1200 pixels.
