Recovery Service Instructions for CF-33

Use your Recovery Service USB drive purchased from Tough Outlet with the Instructions below.

First, please ensure it is the correct USB flash drive. THE MODEL # MUST MATCH THE DEVICE IT WAS MADE FOR.

Once verified it is the correct drive do the following:

• Turn off the Toughbook and plug the USB drive into the USB slot on the tablet itself (not the keyboard slot)
• Boot Toughbook while repeatedly pressing F2 on the keyboard (if it does not perform the actions in the next step, restart the Toughbook and try again while it reboots)
• In some instances, the Recovery USB may boot on its own from here. If it does not, press the left arrow key and find the Samsung/Lexar/Sandisk USB drive in the Boot Override section of the BIOS. Select it and press Enter.
• Your Toughbook may restart a couple of times while booting into the Recovery mode. 
• Follow the instructions of the Recovery prompts and wait about 30-45 minutes until the final prompt says it is complete and to Shut Down.
