This keyboard incorporates a backlight that lights up the keys on the keyboard for easier nighttime viewing. The color of the backlight is selectable with four adjustable levels. The keyboard is also spill-resistant and meets MIL-STD-810H standards so it is also resistant to drop, shock, vibration, sand, dust, altitude, freeze/thaw, high temperature tactical, temperature shock, humidity.

OPTIONAL KEYBOARD

The Toughbook 40 is also available with a rubber backlit keyboard. Like the emissive keyboard, the rubber keyboard includes four user definable keys and four user definable buttons and incorporates a backlight that lights up the keys on the keyboard for easier nighttime viewing.
