The Panasonic Toughbook CF-54 has two keyboard options, the standard mechanical keyboard, and the emissive backlit keyboard. Here’s a breakdown on what’s available:

STANDARD KEYBOARD

The standard keyboard for a Toughbook CF-54 has 87 keys, is spill resistant, and meets tough MIL-STD-810G standards. It is also resistant to drop, shock, vibration, dust, altitude, high/low temperature, temperature shock, and humidity. It does not come with a backlight.

EMISSIVE BACKLIT KEYBOARD

The optional keyboard for the Toughbook CF-54 is the emissive backlit keyboard (N2ABZY000417). This keyboard incorporates a backlight that lights up the letters on the keyboard for easier nighttime viewing. The keyboard is also spill resistant and meets MIL-STD-810G standards so it is also resistant to drop, shock, vibration, dust, altitude, high/low temperature, temperature shock, and humidity.
