Ethernet / LAN - FZ-G1
Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 Ethernet / LAN
All models of the Panasonic Toughpad FZ-G1 come with the option of a super-fast Gigabit (10/100/1000) Ethernet / LAN port. Ethernet is a computer networking technology that is most commonly used to connect to a wired Local Area Network (LAN).
The standard ethernet port that we use today in most consumer products began to appear on devices in the late 1980s. Since its introduction, ethernet speeds have increased significantly but have always retained a good deal of backward compatibility while being refined to support higher bit rates and longer link distances.
ETHERNET SPEEDS
10BASE-T - 10Mbit/s
100BASE-T - 100Mbit/s
1000BASE-T - 1000Mbit/s (1Gbit/s)
The most common references you will encounter when using ethernet is 10/100/1000 Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet. Both references are the same and indicate an ethernet speed of 1 Gbit/s.
